Where To Buy Brother DCP-8080dn Digital Copier and Laser Printer w/Duplex Printing and Networking

In general it's a nice machine, for the $299 it's great.

But, it does NOT have full Duplex Capability, meaning you cannot
copy, or scan duplex. HUGE drawback, had I known I would've
bought the 8050 version, which does allow for these.

You can only print duplex, which is GREAT.Get more detail about Brother DCP-8080dn Digital Copier and Laser Printer w/Duplex Printing and Networking.

Order Brother MFC-8890DW High-Performance All-in-One Laser Printer With Wireless Networking and Duplex

I have never owned a Brother printer. I do photos on Epson's and always had HP lasers and 2 4 in one Office Lasers. This may be more about how crappy my last HP was and how it never was usable with Vista though I bought it AFTER Vista came out. Then I got a contact HP support for upgrade message which was unfixable...I could have called Obama at the White House easier than HP.

Anyway, being so frustrated I went for this puppy on Amazon.

I am so, so impressed. I set up wireless printing from my laptop in no time just following the instructions and software. My Vista's are working great, seamless as are my XP's. I just need a wire to it and my hard line network and the entire place will be printing faxing and scanning.

Scanning was great though easier through Photoshop CS4 I felt. But it was going there anyway as it was an immage. A document scanned easily and went to PDF with no hitches anymore....

HP...I am done with you folks....this machine kicked yours out the door and into the recyclers....Get more detail about Brother MFC-8890DW High-Performance All-in-One Laser Printer With Wireless Networking and Duplex.

Purchase Brother MFC-9450CDN Color Laser Multi-Function Center with Duplex Printing and Ethernet Interface

I'm a Realtor, and purchased this item primarily to print color flyers of my listed properties. The results are outstanding ... didn't even have to deviate from the default settings. Colors are sharp, crisp and vibrant. The better quality paper is not an issue at all (I use 24 lb. matte finish, and the machine handles it beautifully). I particularly like the duplex feature ... printing two sides simultaneously is a huge time-saver.

The most difficult aspect of the setup was getting it out of the box and onto the work table (it weighs almost 80 lbs.). After that, I had my first copy in less than 20 minutes. I went with USB connectivity, as I don't have a need for any other type configuration. Every command can be entered from my PC, and the control panel is easy to use. I have a Brother 2170W for my everyday b&w printing... and there's plenty of it. It's very compact, and a real workhorse ... and for less than $[...], I didn't see any reason to retire it. Between the two Brothers, I've got everything covered.

If there's one issue, it's the fact that MS Outlook must be open in order to scan/e-mail, something I do several times daily. It took three calls to Brother support to discover this, and the level 2 tech advised me that it's a software issue, for which a patch will likely be forthcoming shortly. In the meantime, I've gotten used to it.
[...]

Overall, this machine does everything it's supposed to do, and performs flawlessly. Even at $[...] more than I paid, it's a great value. Brother products have done well for me over the years, and this machine is no exception. If you're looking for a color laser all-in-one, this one's a winner! Buying Konica Minolta magicolor 1600W - Printer - color - laser - Legal, A4 - up to 20 ppm (mono) / up to 5 ppm (color) - capacity: 200 sheets - USB

this is a very good product for the price.. i don't print much, so it is fine for my small business. i have to say the color quality is much better that i thought it would be. it is noisy but for price and quality of the print i can live with it. i've only had mine for a few weeks now, but i haven't had any problems yet. the only thing i suggest if you're looking to buy this product is check the price regularly, because it fluctuates between $119 to $199.Get more detail about Konica Minolta magicolor 1600W - Printer - color - laser - Legal, A4 - up to 20 ppm (mono) / up to 5 ppm (color) - capacity: 200 sheets - USB.

Discount Canon Pixma Pro9000 Professional Large Format Inkjet Printer (9995A001)

I have owned this printer for about 3 years. I am a photographer, Web designer and author. Previous to the Canon I owned more Epsons than I can count. Every Epson had the head clogging problem and cleaning the heads to get a perfect print was time consuming and ink wasting. You can let this Canon sit for weeks, fire it up and print a perfect image every time.

I wrote a book and wasn't sure how it would sell so I started printing the front and rear convers on this printer. I printed the book pages on a duplexing, high speed HP LaserJet. The book has sold well and I continue to print the front and rear covers on thick photographic paper. I do this 100's at a time and there is never a burp. Every page is perfect and the print speed is very good.

I use various brands of photographic paper. In fact, I have never used Canon papers. I have my monitor calibrated but not the printer. However I make a slight adjustment in the image brightness and the prints match perfectly.

Yes this thing is heavy and has a large footprint. However, if you are looking for a commercial quality workhorse, this is the unit for you.Get more detail about Canon Pixma Pro9000 Professional Large Format Inkjet Printer (9995A001).

Cheapest Brother MFC-290C Color Inkjet Multifunction Center

" The machine is designed to automatically flush and clean ALL of the ink jet nozzles on a programmed schedule. A periodical cleaning or "flushing" of all the ink cartridges occurs approximately every two days." Meaning?? It will drain your ink even if you never use the printer. I had to find out the hard way, even after reading all the reviews warning not to buy. Get more detail about Brother MFC-290C Color Inkjet Multifunction Center.

Save HP CP3525N Color LaserJet Printer

The printer comes with only 1 print tray. It does not come with the bottom tray shown in the photograph of the product. The model shown in the photograph is actually the HP CP3525X. I called Amazon about it and they said that buried in the "see more technical information" link from the main product description pages it states there is an "optional" tray. HP CP3525DN Color LaserJet Printer Decide Now

I love this printer. It set up easily on my network in my home office. I have had this printer about 6 months and I have printed on paper, light card stock and have run lots of envelopes (regular #10 size down to 4.5 inch X 5.5 inch size). It feeds them all! I love the color and find that the duplex works well. I have other B&W laser printers for general text printing that are cheaper to run, but when I wanted to print 1000 invitations to an event with a B&W photo on the front I used this printer because the quality was amazing. I find I can print a two sided full color page on regular paper and the output is better looking than most prints that I have gotten from color prints at Copy Stores at $1.00 a page for two sided color laser. Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock Series 3 Right now

Kodak used to be a good company. I bought the series 3 printer dock and camera with carrying case less than two years ago. It was very easy to use, and the prints came out really nice. I loved it, at first. We really haven't used it that much; we've printed maybe 150 pictures, and now it doesn't want to feed the papers through, and when it finally does, it prints only half the picture. Other people have had the same problem. I have discovered that it is a cheap white plastic part, a "hold-down cam", that is broken. The warranty is expired, and Kodak does not sell the replacement part I need, so I might as well toss it in the trash can where it belongs. Based on my internet searches, this seems to be a common problem with these printers, so it is a design flaw that was never acknowledged, and you can't even get the replacement part! Kodak should repair or replace all of the defective units, regardless. There's no excuse for them selling this junk! I will never buy another Kodak product. Lowest Price Canon Selphy CP780 Hot Pink Compact Photo Printer

The Selphy printer prints turn out quite nice, but I had a few issues.

Pros:
Easy of use
Good quality
Small and light
Speed is decent (the new ink jets are now faster then the Selphy)
Great price for the printer, I even found it at the local store for the same price as Amazon

Cons:
not quite 4X6 prints (the are slightly smaller)
only holds 18 sheets of paper at atime
Ink and paper is kind of expensive, and not always easy to find.
The highest amount of prints per ink package is 36 (that's the biggest ink ribbon I found).

If you need a true 4X6 printer, then this will not work, and if you need to print large quantities, this is not a good printer for the job.

Brother HL-5240 High-Speed Desktop Office Laser Printer Order Now

Excellent printer for everything but envelopes. Mangles envelopes no matter what(see 1 and 2 star reviews). So, if you need to do envelopes, buy a different printer. Everything else including labels, duplexing, etc have worked perfectly. I have had one paper jam in 4400 copies. First copy comes in a few seconds. To be fair, since I seldom do envelopes, I have not tried Brother service to fix the envelope problem.

Software is pretty good and tech support about as good as any these days. For tech support if you get an idiot or someone you can't understand, just hang up and start over. Put the phone on speaker and do something else while you wait on hold. Owner's manual(CD only) is ok.

In summary, 5 stars for paper, 1 star for envelopes. Get more detail about Brother HL-5240 High-Speed Desktop Office Laser Printer.

I really like this printer. It does everything. Setup was not quite plug & play, but it wasn't difficult either. What I like best about this printer is; 4 large ink cartridges (very economical) and two replaceable print heads. The fax was easy to setup and use. Copying is a breeze. Brother HL-5250DN Refurbished Network Ready Laser Printer with Duplex Best Quality

I was looking for a simple little printer to replace my aging inkjet. For the past several years, I have used color very few times, and I am more concerned about clarity of text than pictures. My budget was about $150, and I needed a network printer so that I could access it from multiple computers around my house. I was looking at Brother's entry level model (I think the 2020 or something), but then I came across this refurbished model for about the same price. In addition to the networking capabilities, it features duplex printing, and faster printing. The manufacturer warranty (even on refurbs) gave me some assurance.

The printer arrived in great condition, and was very easy to setup (I did not even need to install their software). Print quality is great, and it has an auto-start function. I would recommend this printer to anyone.Get more detail about Brother HL-5250DN Refurbished Network Ready Laser Printer with Duplex.

HP Photosmart A646 Compact Photo Printer (CC001A#B1H) This instant

The short: small, fast, minimalist, producing great looking prints.

The whole package is minimalist, compact, and designed to be simple to use: The printer arrives packaged eco-friendly in a reusable tote (made from recycled materials) that's actually nice enough to reuse. There's no driver CD, and minimal setup directions. The ink cartridge is all-in-one. The printer needs only an inch or so clearance behind, and a few inches in front (for the paper guide and output). There's a tuck-away stylus to interact with the touch screen, and a fold-down carry handle.

On powerup, the printer displays a simplified version of the paper quick setup directions, and instructs the user to print a calibration page.

When attached via USB to my WindowsXP system, the printer has an unusual design in which is appears to Windows as a CD drive, from which I did the typical driver installation, after which Windows saw the unit as a printer, not a CD drive. Unfortunately, this base Windows software installation didn't seem to offer an interface to the custom modes available from the touchscreen (eg: passport photo, greeting card, etc).

I've owned other photo printers, including Canon's small dye-sub printer: Canon SELPHY CP510 Compact Photo Printer , and this HP beats all of them in speed, print quality, and color reproduction. For color, primary colors are rich and vibrant, though neutrals (such as earth-tones) and pastels are slightly washed out. Blacks are solid and jet-black. I tested some complicated, textured, outdoor scenes and was very pleased with the results (one sample was a mix of sky, desert dust-storm, and people). The same complicated print took 1m43s at "best" and 43s at "fast normal". Interestingly, the quality difference between the two prints was modest. The "best" print was a little more rich and nuanced in detail, but at 5x7, "fast" seems adequate for most things I'd print.

I tried a couple of the speciality modes, and the printer did "the right thing" in printing passport photos, correctly scaling and sizing them (no more figuring out the DPI to resolution ration to get the exact 2x2 required for passports!). Greeting cards came out well also, though the small number of available designs are limiting.

While I like the printer a lot, I did have some quibbles:

* The inbuilt initial setup is a bit simplistic, and led me to at first not taking the tape off the contacts of my print cartridge (I don't usually use inkjet printers so didn't realize). Interrupting the setup before it was finished resulted in having to go through the setup process again. There's such a thing as "too simplified".

* To use the touchscreen-based modes on the printer I had to put the images on a memory card (presumably a bluetooth-enabled phone would have worked too). I realize many people leave their old photos "on their cameras", but I take a lot of photos, and all my archiving and sorting is done on computers, so the on-card-only design makes the custom modes much less useful to me.

* It would be nice to be able to create custom greeting card designs.

* For some reason the sticky protective cover on my model's LCD wouldn't come off without a lot of prodding and scraping, leaving a mar on the touchscreen. The screen itself has a non-obvious locking mechanism in its popped-up position that has to be pressed in the opposite direction from what I expected. I could see the screen getting broken in a multi-user household

My prints were all on HP "Advanced Photo Paper". Most vendors formulate their inks to match their paper, so the combination typically yields the best results.

Aside from the minor quibbles, I'm very pleased with this photo printer. Highly recommended.Get more detail about HP Photosmart A646 Compact Photo Printer (CC001A#B1H).

Brother MFC-9320CW High Quality Digital Color All-in-One Printer with Wireless Networking Top Quality

The MFC-9320cw Digital Color All-in-One prints, copies, scans and faxes with high quality up to 600 x 2400 dpi, contains a 35-page capacity auto document paper feeder and provides easy access to install and replace toner cartridges. But its key features are what makes the 9320cw ideal for small office or business where value and performance are required.

Flexible networking means you can share documents via Ethernet or wireless connectivity as well as with the standard wired connection.

Fax flexibility with stand-alone or PC faxing.

Direct Print/Scan means you can print from or scan to your USB flash memory drive (not included in package)

Copying occurs at a speedy 17ppm with black and white or color, and the paper tray has a 250 sheet capacity, however, for business cards, posters and other thick papers, there's a nifty manual feed.

This all-in-one replaced a trusty HP Deskjet workhorse, and I can say the results have been surprisingly good. I have tested it in print, scan and fax mode and found it fast and efficient. I even printed two sheets of my business cards with better-than-average results. Does it print as well as my HP photo deskjet? No, the first copies were a tad disappointing, however, after tweaking the advanced adjustments, I got color that is almost as good, and since most of my work does not involve photo printing, this is quite acceptable.

Installation was a snap. (I used the wired hookup.) Directions are easy to follow with screen prompts. Setup was accomplished in less than fifteen minutes and this for a person who has never before installed an all-in-one printer.

I have only two nits: this unit does not offer duplex printing, so two-sided copies must be done manually and I occasionally get a message that the yellow and cyan toner cartridges are low, when this is not the case. Another reviewer has made similar comments. The message disappears when I reboot so is not a problem, but rather an annoyance. I would give this printer two thumbs up.Get more detail about Brother MFC-9320CW High Quality Digital Color All-in-One Printer with Wireless Networking.
