So I just bought this printer today so that I can develop prints for my photography class, and let me tell ya, this printer is awesome! I have a netgear wireless g router from 4 years ago and during setup the very easily found each other.In no time, I was upstairs editing photos and then having them print downstairs. The picture quality is amazing on the photos by the way; I was printing 8.5x11 photos and they all came out very clean and crisp colored. BUT, not everything is great about this printer; after printing around 25 photos this evening I am now totally out of my tri-color ink (mind you this still is within 24 hours of the purchase). I bought this inexpensive and wireless printer. I didn't know then that this printer leads to Lexmark holding control over your wallet! The black ink cartridge is at least $30, and my last one lasted less than 2 weeks. The color cartridge isn't any better. There is a chip in the cartridges and a circuit board that monitor how much ink is being used. You can not refill the cartridge yourself. We all know that ink does not cost that much money.

They sell this printer cheaply because they know how much money they will be making in ink cartridges.

I've also had to call them about 6 times in 6 months for weird ideosyncratic issues. It seems impossible to cancel a print job, for example, unless you turn the computer off completely. I could not cancel through the software or the control panel. Then at one point it was stuck in "print in black and white" and I could NOT get it to print color until I called Lexmark and they took over my computer and did something. Their tech support is very friendly, but I would rather have a printer that works and that lets me refill the ink.

This is my first laser printer purchase. Infact,I have never purchased any kind of printer before. I had bought Hp officejet pro 8000 just few days ago but got annoyed by warming up and slow speed of that inkjet. I returned it back within a week.I cannot compare inkjet with laser.
Xerox printer software is very simple to install with no crapware as compare to the Hp i got before. It was really straightforward to install the toner for a printer newbie like me. It printed the test page within 30 seconds and i was astonished to see that the text was much superior to the laser printer at my college.
In windows vista, it shows that i have two printer i.e xerox 3250 and xerox 3250 ps. The latter showing the postscript 3 functionality.So far,I have not found any difference between two. It is fast and is far less noisy than the laser printer at my college. I love the duplex functionality which is near fast as printing on second page. I wonder why printer makers still have single sided only printer with no duplex functionality, that is waste of paper. It has not dim the lights so far even in my small apartment.
The only con:

I bought this printer to use because it prints on CDs and DVDs, and it works great for that! I am a pastor, and I use it to print images on my sermon CDs, which gives them a very professional touch and the print quality is excellent. This printer also does very well printing on paper, and I have used this model in my office for 3 or 4 years now. I am impressed with the quality of the print jobs, and I also like that the color ink cartridges are sold individually. That way they can be replaced individually, and the color quality is better than I have seen in single unit color cartridges. The only complaint I have for this is that I have had to replace it twice in the last 3 years. I do use it pretty often, but I wish it lasted longer. After a year or so, a message comes up that says some parts are in need of repair, and it will not print after that. Also, the ink cartridge holder will not move anymore after that, so unless you break it open (which I have done - ink is expensive to replace!), you waste the ink when you throw out the printer. I connected it to 2 computers in minutes - no hick-ups!!

The scanning wirelessly works so well. Makes me really realize what a piece of cr@P the dell 948 was!!! I could NEVER get that thing to work. And, this scans fast.
