Order HP LaserJet 1300 Printer

This is a great printer for home or small office. I like everything about it except when a piece of paper gets stuck. Taking everything apart to set things right is more difficult than it needs to be. All things considered, I would get this printer again.Get more detail about HP LaserJet 1300 Printer.

Where To Buy HP Photosmart Pro B9180 Printer

I got this because it's supposed to make good prefessional prints, brochures, etc.
NOPE.

The ink is terrible with 8 seperate (and pricey) toner cartridges.

It has not delivered quality at all. I would never give a client something this had printed because their fingers would be covered in ink. No joke.

Right now, it's a really expensive drafting printer for what we give to the printer shop to make ACTUAL brochures.

AND THE JAMMING!! EVERY FRIGGIN DAY!!!!!!!!!

Advice: Don't put it in front of a wall because you will need to access the back to remove countless pages every day. I do.. Get more detail about HP Photosmart Pro B9180 Printer.

Buying HP Deskjet All-in-One (F4440)

I previously owned two Lexmark printers and my small children did something to them
that new cartridges ran out after printing only 30 pages or so.
I decided to invest in a new printer instead of ink cartridges.
I bought this item. I am so happy with my new printer.
Installation was easy and so far, it works great!

Cheapest Lexmark E260DN Monochrome Laser Printer

This printer is easy to set up and produces good quality print. I haven't had the other reviewers' problems with the manual feed of envelopes, and the Lexmark handles automatic paper feed with ease. One thing I don't like about it is that the on-off switch is in back rather than on the side. Given my computer set-up, this means an awkward stretch for me every time I turn the printer on or off.

The toner cartridge is easy to insert and remove, and the print it produces is sharp and dark and doesn't smudge. My main beef with the Lexmark lies with its voracious appetite for toner. At the default settings the cartridge gets used up in less than the advertised maximum 3500 pages -- not good if you regularly print a lot, often hundreds of pages a day, as I do.

However, you can ameliorate this problem by adjusting the settings. In Printer Preferences click on Print Quality, there click on Custom, and then slide the indicator arrow from 10 to at least 5, which in my experience provides a good sharp dark print. The quality will be acceptable for drafts even at 3 and the cartridge life will be greatly extended.

Overall it's a definite improvement over my ancient HP 2200 laser, and overall I think it was a good purchase. But keep these drawbacks in mind as you consider whether it will work for you.

Cheap Brother MFC-5490CN Professional Series Color Inkjet All-in-One with Ethernet Networking

The printer worked fine for about 4 months, then nothing Black would print. Installed new cartridge even though existing one was 3/4 full. Still no black. Cleaning, alignment, test prints - all no black.

Called Brother tech support and they sent me a new printer under warranty. This one worked for two weeks, and guess what - this will not print in Black now either with a new full black cartridge.

Not worth the headache. I guess this piece of crap is made in China or something.Get more detail about Brother MFC-5490CN Professional Series Color Inkjet All-in-One with Ethernet Networking.

Discount Brother DCP-585CW Color Inkjet All-in-One Photo Printer with Wireless Networking

Set up with either cable or wireless, nice for networking. Print quality of photos is NICE, scanner works like a breeze and scan quality is pretty good as well. I like how you can just push a button and you can see the ink levels. There are 4 different ink cartridges so I only have to replace the color that goes empty. Printing is a little slow but it is a great all around printer/scanner.Get more detail about Brother DCP-585CW Color Inkjet All-in-One Photo Printer with Wireless Networking.

Save Epson NX300 All-In-One Printer Print/Copy/Scan/Fax (Black)

I had an Epson previously and loved it. Then I got a Lexmark. Very expensive cartridges. I saw this for a steal price at Sam's Club (sorry Amazon) so got it. It's very easy to set up (it didn't come with a USB cable so I used the Lexmark's). The instructions and software are very good.

I had a very large document to print. Fifteen pages in it crushed 2 pages. I couldn't find in the Epson software how to print these 2 pages. I called tech support. The tech had no clue once he actually understood what I wanted to do. I got his supervisor. She was smart, understood, knew, explained you now go through your word processing program. Great.

Printed out the entire 250 pages with no further issues. It's not dark dark and I would prefer to see the black more saturated but I don't see where to tweak that function. I also don't know how to turn the printer off. Pressing the on button doesn't do it. Whatever it is it's counterintuitive.

I ordered some generic cartridges for $7 each, buy 2 get 1 free, free shipping. Always used generics with the last Epson and never had a problem. Get the best deal possible on ink and you'll be a happy person.

So I think of this as a disposable--it's a delivery system for ink. If it lasts a year it owes me nothing at the price I paid. This is something for home use, not high volume for office use but it's a decent printer with all the scan/copy/fax functions you could want.

Lowest Price Canon L170 Laser Fax Printer

This is our third L170. The first is three years old and still going strong. We send or receive more than a dozen faxes per day and the only thing it has needed was replacement toner cartridges. Low Price Samsung SCX-4500W Personal Wireless Laser Multi-Function Printer

I'll try to save people a great deal of effort.

If you're using a mac and you want to use this printer as a network wireless printer, this is what you need to do:

1. Using an ethernet cord (not the included crossover cord), plug the printer into your router.
2. Turn on the printer, add paper, and hold down the Stop/Clear button for approx. 6 seconds until a diagnostic page prints
3. Type the printer's IP address into your browser.
4. Click the wireless tab on the left side, follow the instructions and hook your printer into your wireless network.
5. Go to System Preferences, Printers, Search and Add your new printer.

Thats it.

You can now unplug your printer from the network, and put it anywhere you want wirelessly. Adding it to other machines is just a System Preferences, Printer, Add printer.Get more detail about Samsung SCX-4500W Personal Wireless Laser Multi-Function Printer.

HP LaserJet 1018 Printer (CB419A#ABA)

I have had this printer for about a year now. I am pleased with it overall and I am so happy to be done with Ink Jet printers. I got a great [...] price [...]. I have printed card stock with success. I have printed two sided (manually) with success. I have use after market toner cartridges and have seen no difference between that and the more expensive OEM cartridges.

However, I must point out a few things.

1. I have had the driver curruption with Printspooler.exe using up all my system resources. This happened once and I never connected it to my HP driver until I read about it in someone else's review. It took me a couple of days of searching the internet to figure out how to clear the issue. I thought I had a virus.

2. When printing heavy card stock, I found that the toner did not fuse well. I think I fixed that by changing the setting on both the printer and the software. Changing the setting to card stock in only one place is not good enough.

3. If you are going to print card stock you must use the correct tray (the manual feed tray not the traditional paper tray).Get more detail about HP LaserJet 1018 Printer (CB419A#ABA).

Samsung ML2571N Compact Laser Printer Review

This printer is a very good choice for a home network. I needed something that would be compatible for both Windows and Ubuntu, and that had a network card so that it was not dedicated to one computer. This printer was the perfect choice. Set-up and installation for both Windows and Ubuntu were intuitive. Good quality. The only downside is that it has a slow response for the first page, but after that it is very quick. A very good choice for a home network.Get more detail about Samsung ML2571N Compact Laser Printer.

HP Photosmart 475 Compact Photo Printer (Q7011A#ABA) Top Quality

I bought this printer when it originally came out. I don't print every chot I take, so it took me 6 months to print 11 shots. That was it. An error message came on...not even their "tech" folks could help. Their fix? Take it to a local authorized repair dealer. At my cost. I already paid way more for this thing than it was worth. Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock PLUS Immediately

Three years ago I bought a Kodak EasyShare C533 camera with the series 3 printer dock. After much use the dock stopped printing. Looking around for a replacement, I was shocked at the prices, $399.99 just for a printer dock. Got one from E-bay for about $80.00 and so far it works fine. Had a problem with lines in the picture with one cartridge but apparently it was just that one defective cartridge. Initially I changed cartridges when told to by the printer and have had some extra paper ever since, now I change cartridges when it just won't print any more and my reserve is not growing. Cartridge/paper bundles have also gotten pretty expensive but I take my SD card to the store for processing for big batches of pictures and use the printer for a few pictures at a time and so for the convenience, no big complaint. The printer does need to be unplugged for reset due to various minor problems but I've gotten pretty much used to that. Kodak does not do a good job labeling the paper/cartridge bundles (there is one for the G series printers - not compatible with series 3). In the last few months local stores have stopped stocking the paper/cartridge bundles so it was Amazon.com to the rescue and at a cheaper price that the last store price for the 160 count bundle - and every time I went to buy a bundle, it cost more than previously. This unit prints pictures that have a greater three dimensional quality than what comes from the store/lab but takes a bit of attention to take care of paper feed and various other little problems that crop up. Overall, I have had good luck and enjoy having this printer/dock. Get more detail about Kodak EasyShare Printer Dock PLUS.

Where To Buy Canon Pixma PRO9000MkII Inkjet Photo Printer (3295B002)

I received the Pro9000MkII for my birthday in September. I installed it in a non-standard configuration, located on my network through a USB to Ethernet Hub so that I could put the printer in my network closet. The printer is accessible to three computers using WinXP Pro and Vista.

Installation went very smoothly with the exception of getting the first test print. I'm a blockhead and fed the paper in "landscape" orientation. The printer just spun its wheels and the installation directions weren't very helpful. Once I found out that the paper needed to be fed in "portrait" style, things began to look up.

Using quality photo paper, I got stunning results and was quite pleased with the output. The printer is fast and quiet. I got a scare when a print came out looking very strange, kind of "posterized". What happened was that I fed the paper in with the wrong side up. The particular paper I used had a matt side and a glossy back. The ink wouldn't adhere to the glossy back. I haven't tried "glossy" paper yet. A minor kvetch, the printer sometimes will not "pick up" the paper in the feed tray and will spin its wheels. I have to remove and reseat the paper then all is well.Get more detail about Canon Pixma PRO9000MkII Inkjet Photo Printer (3295B002).

Shop For Canon PIXMA MP560 Wireless Inkjet All-In-One Photo Printer (3747B002)

My third printer. My i9900 finally died. While I don't expect this printer to compare in the print quality, and honestly, i haven't printed pictures yet, the normal printing is just fine. The wireless setup was so easy!!! [my old printer was on an apple airport using bonjour and my dell 948 was such a pain to set up wirelessly.] This just worked. I connected it to 2 computers in minutes - no hick-ups!!

The scanning wirelessly works so well. Makes me really realize what a piece of cr@P the dell 948 was!!! I could NEVER get that thing to work. And, this scans fast.

I've only had it a few days - I'll try to print on photo paper and see how it does. but so far, I'm very pleased!Get more detail about Canon PIXMA MP560 Wireless Inkjet All-In-One Photo Printer (3747B002).

Purchase Canon PIXMA MX860 Wireless All-In-One Photo Printer

I've had the printer for six weeks with not much use. Many reviewers have already posted positive detailed opinions on this device and I will comment on a couple of issues that I had. First, setup, connectivity and compatibility with different OS.

Initially the printer was installed with a Dell XPS running XP. Regardless of the detailed instructions, was not an easy task because the system has to create a specific port for the Canon (not a COM or LPT) and to make things worse (in my case), I did not disconnected my flatbed Canon LIDE scanner which uses a newer version of the Navigator.

Thus, every time I tried to launch the PIXMA, the old scanner interfered. The solution, disconnect all other Canon devices including a camera since these also use the Canon Navigator before installing your printer for the first time. I never had VISTA but according to reviewers, should be easier. And reviewers have commented that works well with Macs. When I installed Windows 7, the OS did recognize the PIXMA and self installation was flawless and the OS itself downloaded the corresponding updated driver.

In order to use the device in the wireless mode or trough a network, needs to be first configured trough USB with the computer. Even with Windows 7, the printer was not recognized as a wireless device.

Second, a limitation that Canon does not publish. The scanning feature does not work on a network or wireless mode. In order to scan even a single page, the printer has to be connected to the computer by the USB cable or you have to use a USB storage media. This brings me to the third issue. The front slot for the USB port is less than one inch wide so many common USB keys do not fit into that slot (the ones that are carried on your key chain). Unless connected to the computer, in order to scan any document, photo, etc, I had to use a Micro SD Card in a micro adapter. Quite inconvenient for such a complex device.

Otherwise, the printer is very good, especially the double side printing feature. BTW, the device is big and heavy; over 30 pounds. But overall, seems that Canon has been able to offer us a great printer at a reasonable price.

Order Brother HL-2170W 23ppm Laser Printer with Wireless and Wired Network Interfaces

Well as usual I can not find a laser printer that will work with my Macbook. I used to have use an HP-1012, but at some point it became unfriendly with my Macbook, since then I have been on a quest to replace it.

Encouraged by reviews on Amazon claiming this works with Mac and seeing on the box the manufacturer even claims there is an install for Mac I assumed my quest was ending. Not so! I spent the entire evening getting the darn thing to work wirelessly and print a test page which it did, but when attempting to print any pdf documents I get the following error (failed opening raster file). Well, it's been 2 days of uninstalling drivers, reinstalling drivers, trying gutenprint drives, using usb instead of wireless and nothing works. No response from Brother either.

Conclusion: Apple is annoying, HP is annoying, Brother is annoying...

Anyone know of a laser printer for home use that actually does work with a Mac? Get more detail about Brother HL-2170W 23ppm Laser Printer with Wireless and Wired Network Interfaces.

Buy HP Officejet 6500 Wireless All-in-One Inkjet Printer

The first thing you'll notice about the printer is how hideously complicated it is. There is a huge "control panel" on the front with row upon row of buttons, dials, readouts, and keypads. I suppose this printer "does it all" if you can ever figure out how it all works.

And the real kick in the pants is that this is pretty much their flagship inkjet printer, yet it does not support windows 7. If you try to follow their directions in setting it up, and insert the disk that comes with it, it will tell you you are basically out of luck.

One of the real ironies about this product too is that to get to the user manual, you need to install the software, and the software won't install because it tells you that it doesn't support windows 7. AAARGH! I definitely regret buying this printer.Get more detail about HP Officejet 6500 Wireless All-in-One Inkjet Printer.

Cheapest HP Photosmart Premium Fax All-in-One Inkjet Printer (CC335A#ABA)

I buy lots of stuff at Amazon, but having read the warnings on this item, I paid more and got it from Costco, so I could return it instantly. Not even connected to the computer, it failed with the fatal Ox61011bec error. Google it to HP's website to see 915+ Views and no cure. Ink cartridges stay tucked under plastic sheild on the right and won't come to the center to play. HP support (2 calls, couldn't understand the first person trying to pronounce numbers in English) offered a refurbished machine solution. Thanks so much. Back it goes after 5 hours of my time from start to returning it. That was the last one they had. I'll follow up if I try with a second one. Good Luck! Cheap HP Photosmart Premium All-in-One Printer (CD055A#ABA)

Quality of print jobs and speed of printing are excellent. However, using the wireless interface my computer could not locate the printer and I had to reinstall the software three times to get it to work. Also, HP brags about their ink lasting longer than other manufacturers. I found that this is not true as I had to buy a new black ink cartridge after just 40 pages. Not a bad printer for low end home use, but the cost of replacement ink could make other printers a better buy.

We do use our home printer quite a bit and have "gone through" several hp printers. The black print speed on this one is awesome! No more sitting and waiting for a single page to grind out. Save HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All-In-One Printer

This printer is fabulous. The more I use it, the more I love it and keep saying so. I replaced an older all-in-one HP from about 5 years ago that still worked well, but just begged to be upgraded.

The set up took a little bit of time, but I was prepared for it by reading previous reviews, but I expected it to be much more painful than it was. The set up instructions were a little big vague, but quite honestly, the installation software pretty much told me whatever I needed to know and do. Whatever wasn't on the monitor screen was either on the printer screen or on the print outs themselves.

I took the advice of others and set it on a very solid base so it wouldn't shake, so I've had no issues there. I have not used the fax and won't because I have no need for it, nor do I even own a land line. It would be great if HP built in functionality to fax through the wireless/PDF over the internet, similar to RightFax.

The clarity and quality of prints is excellent and the print speed is much faster than I've had in the past. This is my first wireless printer and I can't believe I've lived with out it! The wireless set up was a snap and my boyfriend and I are both wirelessly connected. We can scan to separate emails, to a shared folder, in all sorts of formats etc, etc.

The only thing that I consider a negative on this printer is that it is absolutely huge! I had to reconfigure my "printer" space in my office to make it work for me. Remember when you plan for its size that you have to be able to lift the lid to put in scannable items. (Give yourself an extra 5-6 inches.) However it does have a feeder which reduces the amount of times I need to lift the lid.

I have not purchased ink yet, so we'll see how painful that will be when I go to replace it.

Overall a great product and HP has made me happy again!Get more detail about HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All-In-One Printer.

Discount Epson Stylus NX515 WiFi Color Inkjet All-in-One Printer (C11CA48231)

Overall, I would say this is a very good printer/scanner/copier. Print speed is fast and the quality is good. It seems to use more ink than I'm used to (I've owned another Epson and a Brother before). Start up is loud and sometimes a little startling (paper feed). It is compact but sturdy in construction. My biggest disappointment is that I expected to be able to send a fax because it is described as an ALL IN ONE. My others had a fax feature. This one does not. So if you need to fax, keep looking. Other than that, I recommend it.Get more detail about Epson Stylus NX515 WiFi Color Inkjet All-in-One Printer (C11CA48231).

Low Price Brother MFC-7840W Laser Multifunction Center with Wireless and Ethernet Network Interfaces

I bought the Brother MFC-7830W about 11 months ago now. I did some pretty heavy research before making the investment and decided that this was what was the best bet within our budget.

We use it in a home office, but have not set up the fax yet. We only needed this as a copier, scanner and laser printer. As far as those two features go this has been a great deal for the money. The print quality probably isn't the best possible for photos but it does a decent job for text and it photocopies sheet music quite well. What do you need a black and white copier for photos for anyway?

We've used this thing fairly heavily for a home office. I just checked the counter and it is at 4,203 copies. I have two computers running to it one is running Windows Vista and the other is an iMac OSX 10.4. Both of them print and scan to/from it without any problems via a wireless router.

The only negatives I've run into with this is that we've gone through the initial toner cartridge and a hi-capacity cartridge in less than a year. My guess is we're about half way through another Hi-Capacity cartridge. Also the glass is a little small for copying large books, so it can be a bit of a struggle capturing things like sheet music at times. I actually decided it was faster for me to scan 15 pages on my Epson flat bed scanner and print it out of Adobe InDesign. My girlfriend is a teacher and uses it to photocopy text books for worksheets etc. She never complains about that so it probably will work for most applications unless your a picky print/graphics snob like me. The Brother MFC-7830W scanner doesn't produce a very high quality scan so don't expect to use its scanner for professional quality graphic design work. However, it will work in a pinch if you're on deadline and your Epson flakes out.

All in all a great buy for the money.

Nothing but problems so far with this machine -- the drivers are to blame I suspect. After every few prints I have to shut down and restart the printer or my computer. Plus, technology has improved so much since I last purchased a printer--dpi is better, and print speed is much, much faster than my old i960. For around $100, you can't go wrong. Epson PictureMate Dash PM260 Compact Photo Inkjet Printer (C11C694201) Best Quality

If you plan to use this printer infrequently (sometimes weeks or months between uses) then please be aware that you may experience a problem with the ink drying and clogging the system. After 5 months of no activity (and no cartridge in the unit), I found that the printer is unusable because of an ink clog. Repeated self-cleanings over a series of days were of no help. I contacted a repair center and it would cost $120 to fix (which is not worth it). The technician said that on this style of printer you need to print a photo each week to keep the ink from drying inside it.

It is a great printer when it is used frequently. Just don't let it sit unused for weeks at a time or you will invite problems.Get more detail about Epson PictureMate Dash PM260 Compact Photo Inkjet Printer (C11C694201).

HP Officejet Pro 8500 Premier Wireless All-in-One Printer Immediately

I bought this printer in September 2009 and had I reviewed it shortly thereafter would have given it 5 stars. It's wonderful when it works. Unfortunately, it didn't work for long. I started receiving a "paper jam" message on October 27th, although there was no paper jam to be found. Called tech support. I am now aware that I was incredibly lucky to get an actual tech support agent in less than 30 minutes. He said they would send a replacement printer. Although he said they call them refurbished, they are essentially new printers that have been returned from stores, checked by HP, but they are no longer allowed to call them new. I was hesitant to accept a "refurbished" but decided to trust what he had said.

I received the replacement printer within a few days and was able to set it up to the point where I could print a test page. As I had hoped, the pages printed said 2 total, both of which I had done. So HP isn't pulling anything over on us by sending a used, refurbished printer for our almost-new ones that fail. Problem was, the Pro 8500 Premier is an A909n. The replacement HP sent was an A909g, a printer which the tech told me was about $100 less. But before I could get to a technician to complete the setup (message was that the printer was offline even though it was on my network and I had confirmed the successful setup by printing a page to tell me that), I was on hold one evening for over THREE HOURS!!! And I have iPhone screen shots to prove it, which I may try to figure out how to attach to this review. It was just unbelievable. Finally at 11:43pm I decided that even if I were lucky enough to ever have an HP tech respond, I was too tired to go through any sort of diagnostics with him/her.

I called the next day, and after a MERE 48 minutes on hold, a tech answered. He's the one who figured out they had sent me the wrong model. FYI, there are three different models of this printer. I believe they're all A909, but there's an 'A' 'G' and 'N' series. You can tell which one you have easily by opening the print cartridge door. There's a sticker on the part of the door that folds down.

I received my second replacement printer today, November 5th, and could not get it even to the alignment stage. After 48 minutes on hold my call was somehow disconnected, so I decided to try live chat. After a considerable wait of 30-45 minutes, a live chat tech rep finally responded. We went through thing after thing for over two hours, and still could not get rid of the "paper jam" message, which is exactly what the problem was with the original printer.

Be aware that when HP sends you the replacement printer, they send the bare minimum: You have to remove everything that's removable, and one piece that you wouldn't think is removable; the faceplate. I believe the duplexer part may be the problem, but after two hours on chat, the result of that was "We'll have a hardware technician call you within an hour." It's been over an hour and no call.

I loved this printer while it worked, but the honeymoon is over, over, over ..... I won't ever buy HP again, primarily because of the customer service, or lack thereof, I should more accurately say.Get more detail about HP Officejet Pro 8500 Premier Wireless All-in-One Printer.

HP Photosmart D7560 Printer Top Quality

I bought this printer to replace 2 (I bought the same one twice) HP Photosmart 8250s because after a couple of years of use they started telling me that the paper tray was empty, when it most assuredly was not. I tried all sorts of fixes, like adding more paper, deleting the job in Print Manager, tweaking Device Manager, to no avail. Other than that fatal flaw, that printer was extremely easy to use.

NOT so with this one. Out of the box, the install program failed and required me to find the most recent HP Photo Gallery software and install it. Then I could reinstall the printer. The print setup is way more complicated that I am used to and must be done every time I print something. The initial print quality was awful - too yellow and too dark. I have already wasted a lot of photo paper and ink trying for something acceptable. It has required modifications to the printer controls (which took hours of experimentation) to make the changes permanent, but I am not satisfied yet.

I'll probably be looking for something else, as I can't see how this one is ever going to be a winner.Get more detail about HP Photosmart D7560 Printer.

Canon PIXMA iP100 Mobile Photo Printer This instant

This replaced my old i80 that finally bit the dust. What a great replacement! A little bigger than the i80 (but not much), but with Bluetooth ability it let me dump the USB cord for connection to my laptop. I use this for business only, printing documents onsite during my work travels, so I haven't tried it yet for photos (which I see is its main purpose in life). So far, so good!Get more detail about Canon PIXMA iP100 Mobile Photo Printer.

HP Officejet 6500 All-in-One Printer Review

All I wanted is to print and scan which this does nicely. I did some quick math in the store and the ink cartridges for this model cost a tiny bit less, but had longer life than the cartridges for similar models.

My first problem, as other reviewers have said, is the drivers. I have Windows 7 64-bit, and no driver was available for it either on the CD or online! I was about to just box it up and return it, but then decided to see what drivers Windows 7 came with. I did a network printer install and it just popped up and asked if I wanted to install this HP 6500 printer that it found on my network. Just like that I was printing.

I thought I could live with that and just scan using my other Windows XP machine, but while poking around I found that the printer has a tiny web server built in with a pretty decent interface for managing print jobs and even scanning. You can scan without drivers by just opening a browser and typing in the printers IP address. Yes, it has been 7-8 years since I purchased my last home printer, so maybe everybody has this feature now, but still...I was impressed.

I'm sticking with the basic driver and using the printer's webpage for everything else. I can't stand bloated driver packages and this works just fine. I installed the IT professionals only basic driver from HP on my other XP machines as well.

Lose a star for being noisy and having crappy drivers. Otherwise a great printer!Get more detail about HP Officejet 6500 All-in-One Printer.

Epson Artisan 810 Color Inkjet All-In-One Printer

I gave up on my HP c309a. Worst printer ever for me. The epson is much better but not perfect.

Setup is very poor on the Mac. You can get an updated driver pack from apple or download driver from epson for snow leopard. Printing works fine but scanning is the problem. I could not get image capture to recognize it. I got the epson scanner software to work only after running a setup program that gets placed under your utilities folder.

Pros:
fast, quite, good photo quality

Cons:
Does not support print to fax on a mac
Setup on the mac is the worst ever, it reminds me of installing on XP.

Got it from officemax on sale for 199 plus tax but they give you $70 on the rewards card that I can use to buy ink and paper or what ever I want from the store.

PS does anyone want to buy an HP C309a, works greatGet more detail about Epson Artisan 810 Color Inkjet All-In-One Printer.

Shop For Deskjet D1660 Printer (CB770A#B1H)

When it does come down to it, HP does make honestly the best quality in printers. They have shown that very well with their Deskjet series over the years. But, when their is always a great job with printer, there is honestly one that could have had a bit better of a use for. That is honestly the case with their Deskjet D1660 Printer. While it is a inexpensive and convient price for a printer, there are a few problems that I've had with the printer right out the gate. The first of them is that my laptop wasn't able to recognize the software that came with the HP Printer. It was very difficult to install after a few times, so I had to deal with their customer service for constant help. Second, the other problem I had is that I couldn't put too many sheets of paper into the printer slot, because there were too many paper jams, that ultimately shut the printer down. As a result, you would need to honestly put around 20-35 sheets of paper in the slot for it to work, rather than more of them. Also, you would need to purchase a USB 2.0 Cable seperately, which doesn't come with the Printer. Overall, while it does print out a lot of great documents, I was expecting a little bit better for what the price was able to print out in results. Hopefully, HP can come up with better printers that are easier to use, at a affordable price.

Order Brother MFC-7340 Flatbed Laser Multi-Function Center

Easy to set-up, easy to use. Using the XP scanner utility, it spans flawlessly. It prints as expected, seldom jams. It does all that can be expected of it.

We hardly beat it hard, so this review is for relatively mild use. I believe I could use much more and still be equally satisfied.

The toner that came with it has held up well, unlike some start toners that only print a few pages before running out. It looks like buying toner isn't a ripoff either. Get more detail about Brother MFC-7340 Flatbed Laser Multi-Function Center.

Where To Buy Canon PIXMA MX330 Inkjet All-In-One Printer

First of all let me compliment Amazon for their efficiency in getting the printer delivered so quickly. I was a little reluctant to purchase a printer via the internet. But I was really surprise with the ease of setup, and the quality of this printer. It is perfect for a home office or for everyday printing. Since I received the printer everyone has been asking me to print something for them and I was really impressed when one of my friends asked me to print some invitations for her dad's 90th birthday. Let me tell you... the quality of the printing on the invitations looked like if they were done by one of those expensive printers. The invitations said "for best quality use a laser" I have to disagree with them because this inkjet rocks. And it printed 200 invitations within minutes. I would definitely recommend this all-in-one printer.Get more detail about Canon PIXMA MX330 Inkjet All-In-One Printer.

Buy Canon SELPHY CP760 Compact Photo Printer (2565B001)

This is my second dye-sub printer, and it is an improvement in size, noise and speed. The picture quality is similar, which means it is still very good. I opened the box and set everything up quickly, the paper tray and ink only go in one way so it is easy to use.

The problems started when I installed the software. The install was OK, but when I tried to use it I just couldn't find how to get it to print. I am a geek, and build my own machines and play with lots of software, so I can usually work things out, but with this I had to use the last resort of reading the manual. Even then, I only managed to do a simple print, the other features to customize a print were too confusing to even attempt. The next day I wanted to use the printer again, and I couldn't remember the name of the software program in the Start menu, so I had to go back to the install disk and start the install again to work out what it was called. I have another Canon printer which uses a completely different piece of software, which is slightly better, but why doesn't Canon make a standard program for all their printers? This looks like it was thrown together by the hardware engineers with no regard to how a user would use it. I prefer using software that comes with a machine, as it has access to all the features. Its like trying to use a universal remote control, its fine for start/stop/pause but to get into the setup menu you need the manufacturers remote. Now I am just printing from other programs and possible missing out on cool features, but I could not use that program again.

I did not remove any stars as I purchased this printer for the quality of the prints, and that is certainly 5 star.

Purchase HP J3680 Officejet All-in-One Printer

Please read to the end for resolution. The fax itself is just what I wanted. What I didn't want was to stop set-up to drive to Walmart at dark thirty to gat a USB cord that was supposed to be with my package to complete set-up. So I didn't spend $61.80 total. I spent another $21.65. When I logged into Amazon for their packaging review (I bought machine from Amazon) they indicated I had no recent orders. Therefore, I couldn't quickly ask for help. I found an Amazon customer service number online and called. Rep. Belinda, in just over a minute, apologized and promised to refund my credit card. I looked the next morning and it has been credited plus 35 cents (rounded off by rep) This was amazing service for a disgruntled, crabby customer. Good job and kudos to Amazon. And I'm back to doing my stuff with my new fax/copier/scanner/printer. Get more detail about HP J3680 Officejet All-in-One Printer.

Cheap HP Photosmart C4780 All-in-One Printer (Q8380A#ABA)

We upgraded from an aging, dreadfully slow Photosmart and are completely satisfied with this printer that was so inexpensive. The wireless feature means we can print from the laptops as well as the iMac and frees up a USB port. Setup was mindblowingly simple for one as un-technical as myself - I couldn't believe I'd done it so quickly. The print quality is great and the scanned documents are superb. It's a home printer that we use only every few days so it's still printing the on the first cartridges after a couple of months. I have high capacity backup ink cartridges waiting for when replacement becomes necessary (cost of ink seems to be the biggest gripe about these machines).Get more detail about HP Photosmart C4780 All-in-One Printer (Q8380A#ABA).

Cheapest Epson WorkForce 600 Wireless All-in-One Printer (Black) (C11CA18201)

Epson WorkForce 600 Wireless All-in-One Printer (Black) (C11CA18201)

After a lot of research, I opted for the Epson WorkForce 600. This was a replacement for THREE in a row HP defects. (Sub-note: HP in my opinion has lost its once top-of-the-line quality. I had 3 in a row each - printers and laptops - that were "duds" and HP has lost me as a customer. Thanks for letting me "vent" about this, but it was important to voice my opinion on HP's decline in quality and reliability.)

My new Epson is a high-quality all-in-one machine. The set up was easy (although I am still having trouble with the wireless connection, which for me, is not a priority.) It is a very solid machine, somewhat heavier and larger than others in this class, but for me, this speaks to quality. I have used all of the functions with good results. The printer works great - is fast, the print quality is crisp and clear. Ink use seems a bit more economical than the HPs I have had, and the ink itself is awesome! I read in a review that Epson ink would not smear with a yellow highlighter and it does NOT! Amazing! At first, I was skeptical about the 4 separate ink cartridges, but this is proving to be an economical feature, with the ink cartridges being very easy to replace. (Sub-note: I read in another review that Epson printers will NOT accept generic ink cartridges. I have not tried generics myself, but I wanted to include this as a warning for those who like using generic ink.) The paper holder capacity is small (supposed to be about 100 sheets), but this is not a major issue for me.

On to the fax capability: It basically sends and receives fine. The settings were a bit difficult for me, but I think this is just a matter of getting used to the machine. It also took a couple of tries to get the settings correct with my answering machine, but once this is set correctly it is not something that continually needs to be adjusted. As with most fax machines, you may opt for post fax written reports or not. It has the usual speed dial settings. One feature that I missed from HP machines is the ability to set up the fax from your computer. With the Epson, you need to do settings from the control panel.

Scanning: With the scanner, you can operate it nicely from your computer. It has the usual setting that are easy to input, the scanning is fast and I have had good results with both color and black & white originals.

Copying: Not much to say except that the copy process is very fast using the document feeder. Just set the number of copies you want and the WorkForce does the rest either in color or black and white. The copier has the lift-up top for centering documents/pictures on the copy glass. I want to say again that I am impressed with the Epson ink - the colors are bright and the ink withstands a yellow highlighter without smudging or smearing.

I need to comment on the noise factor: The Epson Workforce 600 is not a quiet machine, but for me this is not an issue. However, you probably want to plan your setup keeping the Epson away from your phone as much as possible. If you are highly sensitive to noise, you may want to look to another brand. Again, for me this is not an issue and would not influence my purchase choice if I knew this before buying it.

To sum up, this is a solid, quality machine - it is heavier and larger than others in this class. Set-up is easy, but I had problems with the wireless connection. It's operating system (meaning the document feeder) is fast although a bit loud. The ink system uses 4 cartridges that are very easy to replace and the ink seems to last longer than my multifunction HP machines. (Another review warned that the Epson would not accept "generic" ink brands, although I have not tried this.) The ink withstands the highlighter test, is clear and bright. All of the functions work very well for me - I am quite pleased with this machine and would definitely buy it again. I hope this information is useful to you in making your choice of a good all-in-one printer.Get more detail about Epson WorkForce 600 Wireless All-in-One Printer (Black) (C11CA18201).

Discount Brother HL-5370DW Laser Printer with Wireless Networking and Duplex

OVERALL:
Just bought this printer after much deliberation and research. I was mainly an HP person both using their laser at work and inkjet printers at home. I wanted something a bit more economical in the long term than my inkjet, plus I like the sharpness of laser printing and I love double-sided printing. This printer meets all my requirements and it's fast. I worked out that the cost per page based on current cost of the consumables (toner and drum) is about $0.02 (when using the high-yield toner). That's awesome.

SETUP:
Wired set up via USB or Ethernet (Network) is very easy. To set it up wireless was a bit more involved for me (and probably since I'm the type to rarely read the manual). However, after I set it up it's been working flawlessly.

PAGE CURLING:
Some people complain of page curling and I was really concerned about it but I haven't found that to be a problem. Honestly, my HP LaserJet 1320n at work curls more than this thing. Curling is truly minimal when using the correct paper and when it does occur it's easily correctable (turn the pages upside-down and let them "cool down" is my approach).

FOR THOSE WHO WANT BOOKLET PRINTING ON A MAC, PLEASE READ:
One downside is that it does not do booklet printing on a Mac (booklet printing is Windows only), the driver just doesn't support it. However, there are workarounds using 3rd party software & methods that creates the booklet before sending it to the printer. It's not a big deal. One method is to save a document to a PDF using the OS X print menu, open the PDF in the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader and printing the booklet from there since Adobe Acrobat Reader supports booklet printing. The process has an extra step but works perfectly. Perhaps in the future Brother will update the OS X driver. Printing multiple pages per sheet is not an issue.Get more detail about Brother HL-5370DW Laser Printer with Wireless Networking and Duplex.

Save Canon Selphy CP780 Silver Compact Photo Printer

The Selphy printer prints turn out quite nice, but I had a few issues.

Pros:
Easy of use
Good quality
Small and light
Speed is decent (the new ink jets are now faster then the Selphy)
Great price for the printer, I even found it at the local store for the same price as Amazon

Cons:
not quite 4X6 prints (the are slightly smaller)
only holds 18 sheets of paper at atime
Ink and paper is kind of expensive, and not always easy to find.
The highest amount of prints per ink package is 36 (that's the biggest ink ribbon I found).

If you need a true 4X6 printer, then this will not work, and if you need to print large quantities, this is not a good printer for the job.
