Dell V305w All-in-One WiFi Printer Best Quality
I have had this printer for 6 months and it is still on the first set of cartridges. I will say that the ink level gauge is inacurate, it has been telling me to change the ink cartridges for over a month even though it is still printing just fine. I will say that I have the printer set on draft mode to conserve ink, which is fine for text and basic color prints. The wifi is great, my laptop is on the main floor and the printer is upstairs in my office and everytime I send a print job the printer comes on and starts printing in under a minute. The printer sends out standard B/W text sheets at a rate of 1 sheet per 5 seconds, this is the fastest printer I have ever owned. I have had HP, and Lexmark printers and by far this is the best printer for the money that I have bought. Get more detail about Dell V305w All-in-One WiFi Printer.

Kodak EasyShare G610 Printer Dock Get it now!
This photo printer is junk, I have been experienceing the same problems as every other reviewer here has stated. The design is not that great, the carteridge is hell to change and the picture quality is not overly great plus this thing works only about 1% of the time and spends 99% of the time grinding, spurthing and not giving any results. Samsung ML-2855ND Monochrome Laser Printer Buy Now
Replaced my USB HP 1300 with this printer. It is on a mixed mac and Windows XP network. Extremely easy to setup. Plug into ethernet port and Bonjour instantly recognized and set up on mac via Printer system preferences, Install disc adds nice features on the mac such as IP address, toner level etc., very convenient. Also very easy to add to windows XP machines . Samsung did a great job of adding features that are Mac OS X compatible. Very solid construction, with convenient 50 tray auxiliary paper path, also designed for more heavy usage compared to ML2851. Only complaint is it seems to take a second or two longer to print the first sheet, and toner is not readily available at local office megastore.
Update: After 1 week in office first page out deemed too slow, returned and purchased HP P2055ND, It seems much quicker to print the first page, which is important in my setting, where we print single sheet walk out statements/receipts. The HP is more costly, but has gigbit networking. The samsung has better on screen support and info than the HP when installed on a mac. I would reduce the Samsung to 3.5 starsGet more detail about Samsung ML-2855ND Monochrome Laser Printer.

HP Photosmart C4280 All-in-One Printer/Scanner/Copier (CC210A#ABA) Order Now
Absolute nightmare. This is the single most unreliable and capricious piece of hardware I have ever had the misfortune to own. My biggest problem comes with the scanner. Scanning works about 50% of the time. As MANY others have noted, there is a repeating "scanner not connected to USB" message even when the connection is tested and the printer works fine! Don't be fooled, even higher price HP products will fail. Don't buy ANYTHING from this unscrupulous company.Get more detail about HP Photosmart C4280 All-in-One Printer/Scanner/Copier (CC210A#ABA).

Canon Selphy CP740 Compact Photo Printer (2094B001) Top Quality
This poor quality product has not even allowed me to make any prints. The paper feed mechanism is unable to pull the print paper into the machine. The one time it did, it said it was the wrong type of paper, which was not the case. After an hour of fruitless attempts, the ink cartridge (which only has enough ink for 5 prints) ran out of ink. Do not but any Canon products. They are very poor quality!
By the way, I am technologically savy, having no problem building model RC cars, installing car stereo systems, wireless networks. This Canon POS is just hopeless. Get more detail about Canon Selphy CP740 Compact Photo Printer (2094B001).

HP P2015D Land Fill printer - no parts available defective formatter don't waste your money. This is HP's new marketing - make junk, discontinue it when problems occur. Discontinue the availability of parts so the printer becomes landfill and repeat. If you buy their consumer level merchandise expect to be disappointed. Epson FX-890 Impact Dot Matrix Printer, C11C524001
We use the FX-890 to print all of our orders for our business and had the first one for over seven years without any problems. Once it got so old, we decided to just buy a new one. Since the day we replaced the old one, the new one never worked quite right and keeps smudging the second line. We called Epson over three times and have been on the phone with them for almost an hour every time but the problem always comes back. It seems this printer is a hit or miss...or maybe we just got a bad egg. Get more detail about Epson FX-890 Impact Dot Matrix Printer, C11C524001.

Lexmark X6575 Professional - Multifunction ( fax / copier / printer / scanner ) - color - ink-jet - copying (up to): 24 ppm (mono) / 23 ppm (color) - printing (up to): 28 ppm (mono) / 24 ppm (color) - 100 sheets - 33.6 Kbps - Hi-Speed USB, 802.11b, 802.11g, USB host Review
Many have complained that this product doesn't change fax ring auto pickup and that it uses too much ink. I have to say, first of all the ink that comes with it is a trial cartridge that contains less ink than normal cartridges. Secondly RTFM ( read the f****** manual). I have gone through every function and setting available on this machine and it works beautifully. And duplex printing on a machine this inexpensive! HP doesn't even have a similar function in this price range. The HP Duplex module for my inkjet 6800 costs more than this all in one did. Five stars, a great product.Get more detail about Lexmark X6575 Professional - Multifunction ( fax / copier / printer / scanner ) - color - ink-jet - copying (up to): 24 ppm (mono) / 23 ppm (color) - printing (up to): 28 ppm (mono) / 24 ppm (color) - 100 sheets - 33.6 Kbps - Hi-Speed USB, 802.11b, 802.11g, USB host.

Shop For HP P3005DN LaserJet Printer
I've owned this printer for almost a year now (got it for $449) and I'm still on the same toner cartridge. It's the best printer I've had so far and can handle multiple formats, which is great. The duplexing is a godsend. The only trouble I had initially was with the diagnostics software, which I removed from startup (I run Windows XP). Other than that, the duplexer jammed once, so I applied some sewing oil next to the duplex feed and haven't had any trouble since. It's an awesome printer for daily use (a true workhorse). I think that if you're looking for a darker print job or a wireless printer, however, you might want to look at a different model.Get more detail about HP P3005DN LaserJet Printer.

Where To Buy Epson Stylus Photo Printer - R1400 (C11C655001)
I have been working with the Epson 1400 large format printer as part of a networked printer bank in a professional design studio for just over a year, and have been impressed with its ability to reliably produce high-quality, accurate large format prints even under heavy use.
Our office uses this printer almost every day for printing proofs of catalogs, product artwork, packaging artwork, mockups to show to product distributors, sales brochures, and other design-related purposes. During crunch times we may run as many as 50-100 large-format prints through this printer in a single day as we update designs and put together proofing documents to send to our printers.
I've worked with a lot of large-format printers over the years both as a design student and a professional, and I'm not impressed easily, but this printer has won my admiration. It has reliably withstood heavy abuse and continued to work properly despite countless network configuration changes, thousands of prints, and a healthy dose of user error.
If you're having trouble getting prints that look like what you see on your screen, make sure that your document is set to a "CMYK" color format and the color rendering for the printer is set to "perceptual." When my office first got our Epson 1400 we were having some trouble getting accurate color rendering until we discovered this, and it makes a huge difference in what prints look like.
For the very best results make sure you use Epson brand paper.
We experimented with some off-brand papers at first and weren't happy with the results. After a lot of trial and error we've found that that the Epson Presentation Paper Matte provides good results for proofing documents, and we occasionally use the stiffer Epson Premium Presentation Paper Matte when we want to cut out packaging designs so we can fold them together to make sure the sizing is accurate.
Like all inkjet printers it uses ink fairly and not all office supply stores carry the ink this printer uses, so it's important to keep backup ink cartridges at all times. Since this printer uses a total of 6 cartridges (Cyan, Light Cyan, Magenta, Light Magenta, Yellow, Black) this can be a fairly pricey investment, but if you ever find yourself printing with a deadline it's worth it in the long run.
Because of its size and associated costs this isn't an "everyday" kind of printer that should be used for printing e-mails and MapQuest directions, but for design students and professionals who want accurate color rendering from a reasonably-priced printer that is reliable, easy to use, and has great customer support, the Epson 1400 is an excellent choice.
PROS:
Good value for design students & professionals
Accurate color reproduction when using correct settings
Good print quality
Easy to use & troubleshoot
Extremely reliable even under heavy use
Excellent support from Epson (new drivers & other updates)
A good choice for design students & professionals
CONS:
13" x 19" paper can be hard to find in stores
Large prints sometimes use ink quicklyGet more detail about Epson Stylus Photo Printer - R1400 (C11C655001).

Order Refurbished Brother MFC-8860DN Flatbed Laser Multi-Function Center with Duplex
I shopped long and hard for this mix of features, performance and price. This machine has been great. I knew I was payiing a premium price for the Duplex function - but it is absolutely worth it. I replaced my fax machine, my Xerox 8812 and my wife's HP LaserJet. I also got out of purchasing the kids individual machines. The Energy Star rating was also a factor in getting this machine. The full suite of software is more than most user will ever need. IF all you want to do is print, use the "Custom Install" option and just add the print driver. If you want to scan and e-fax, do the complete install.
Don't fear the "refurbished" designation. From my reading, it sounds like a percentage of the early units went out with issues that were resolved in later production - the "refurbished" unit is practically new - but they do send it out with a refurbished toner cartridge. Buy the spare cartridge when you buy the machne.
You will pay a bit more for this machine - but it is worth every penny.Get more detail about Refurbished Brother MFC-8860DN Flatbed Laser Multi-Function Center with Duplex.

Purchase Samsung CLX-6200FX Color Laser Multifunction Printer
I don't think I've ever written a review before on Amazon. At least not that I can remember. But I wanted to write about this printer. Geesh. How hard is it to make a good printer now a days? It would appear like it's nearly impossible if you have been through the agony of the HP experience. I could write a small book on the problems I've had with HP printers over the years. I vowed to give up on HP when I bought a new printer.
Enter the Samsung CLX-6200FX.
It took me all of about 5 minutes after getting it out of the box, to print something. If it were an HP, I would have had to endure 20 to 30 minutes of software installs. One after the other. They try to install everything they can, most of which you'll never use. With this, I put the disk in, clicked a couple of times, told it that the printer was hooked to my network and voila... I was printing.
Did the same install on 3 of our other computers in the house, all hooked into my wireless router. (Actually, one of our computers is wired into the router and the other three are hooked via wifi t o the router.
It's relatively quiet. It only takes a few moments to warm up from being asleep. Print quality is just fine. It feels solid. Not cheap. It weighs a TON. Be prepared to have either a tall man to lift it out of it's box or to be creative and break down the box with a knife to get to it. It's really heavy and not easy to get out of the box with the box intact.
I especially like that the software allows me to fax a document from my computer, just by selecting the fax driver when I go to "print" it. The first time you do it (if you're accessing it via a router) you have to make it "find" the printer but it only takes a second or two. Then you can fax away. AWESOME. (You have to have the machine hooked to a phone line, of course.)
I just can't tell you how nice it is to have a good quality printer that doesn't try to install the space Shuttle's operating system when installing the driver. Quick and easy and very smooth. Thanks, Samsung.
Incidentally... I was stationed in Korea 20 years ago and Samsung was thought of as a REALLY cheap electronics maker that made crap (Goldstar and Samsung = cheap crap.) Oh how that has changed. Samsung is probably THE premier international electronics company now. Probably even better than Sony, for the most part. (IMHO)Get more detail about Samsung CLX-6200FX Color Laser Multifunction Printer.

Buying HP A526 Photosmart Compact Photo Printer
Just bought this on sale and am pleased with the quality of the prints. I had a kodak printer in the past and had planned on buying another to replace my broken one but couldn't beat the price I found this for.
However, I agree with the person who said they could have included the wire to connect it to a PC. But when I need a quick picture printed it comes in handy.
I AM having problems using a thumb drive with it but am not sure if it's the thumb drive itself or the printer. Get more detail about HP A526 Photosmart Compact Photo Printer.

Buy HP LaserJet P4015N Monochrome Lase Printer
This printer is super fast. by the time you get the printer to pick up your prints it's done. Only one minor complaint- the printer sounds like a jet engine when printing (it only lasts a minute but still). Great for a shared office printer but I wouldn't put in a private office. This is not a desk printer. Would be 5 stars if it wasn't so loud.
HP is having a rebate of $[...] thru end of 2009, so you'll want to look into that. Amazon price is lowest and sign up for amzaon prime to get free shipping. Get more detail about HP LaserJet P4015N Monochrome Lase Printer.

Lowest Price HP P3005D Laserjet Printer
After several attempts at purchasing less expensive home printers that were absurdly slow, loud and/or shaky, ineffective, or just didn't work at all, I finally gave in and bought this printer, which is the same HP model used at my office. I have to print 60+ page documents on a regular basis and the P3005D does so very quickly and reliably. It prints quietly, holds a large supply of blank paper, and is compact enough not to require a desk of its own. While I didn't want to spend this much for a home printer, I've found this one to be well worth the cost. Plus, I'm saving on paper -- I had fish out about three crumbled, torn, and misfed sheets for every one printed on the HP Officejet J4680c I was previously using.Get more detail about HP P3005D Laserjet Printer.

HP Deskjet D4160 Printer Right now
I have seen a lot of negative reviews on this printer, but I have to say that after owning & using this printer for about 18 months, on two different computers, I haven't had a problem with it at all.
It prints great B&W copies and I have no complaints about the photo printing. Granted the photo printing isn't as good as it would be on a photo printer, but, for the price of the printer and the price of the ink, I'm very satisfied.
You can't expect a $60.00 printer to work like a printer with all the bells & whistles of a $200.00 printer.Get more detail about HP Deskjet D4160 Printer.
